About Mariella

Her Story

From Malta and Belfast to Glasgow - and a business built from scratch

Mariella moved to Glasgow in 2002, having grown up between Malta and Belfast. She spent 18 years working within a large organisation as secretary to management - a role that gave her a sharp eye for detail, discretion, and the art of keeping busy people's lives running smoothly.

It was around this time that Mariella first came across the concierge industry taking shape in the US - a professional, personal service built around giving people back their time. It was a model that barely existed in the UK, but she saw exactly how much it could help people here in Scotland.

In 2005, Dickory Dock Concierge was born. What began as a simple offer to help with life's everyday jobs has grown, over nearly two decades, into a trusted service relied upon by individuals, families, solicitors, and businesses across Glasgow - built entirely on reputation, word of mouth, and Mariella's hands-on, personal approach.
